About
Artwork by Joe Musselman
When I was a child I was always drawing, painting, playing with crayons, pastels, markers or clay. For the last 30 years I had stopped doing anything creative with the exception of junk store shopping.
I had a conversation with my then boyfriend about what I did as a child. I think I missed it and didn’t know how or if I could start again.
I bought 10 small canvases from the 99 cent store along with paint and brushes. I would put down 1 stroke on the canvasses and walk away. When I was young the ideas never stopped and now they wouldn’t come. After a few weeks I started slowly being able to paint again. I have only been painting for a little over a year but I hope I never decide to stop again.
